Another random episode.
We've all had another week of social distancing, and some of us are actually being told not to leave our homes.
I'm not a therapist, and I'm not funny like Whitney Cummings. But one thing about me is I've developed a skill for consistency. So that's what I'm offering the world.
This week I discuss:
- my hesitation about posting an article about, "positive life changes"
- people wasting mental/emotional energy worrying about dumb things
- why thinking about trivial things can actually be a coping mechanism
- things you DO NOT need to worry about
- creating calm when you brain is not calm
- how predictability can help us feel more safe
- social support during this crazy time
- we need to stop comparing our suffering with others. Everyone's emotions are valid.
- ****A look into my own anxiety about the future of my family
- creating a plan for worst case scenarios so you don't have to think later
- the importance of observing and understanding your own thinking (yes, again!)
In case you were wondering, I do believe we can make positive changes in our lives. Corona virus or not.
As always, we are stronger together.
