In this episode, Dr. Gadson continues discussing the benefits of journaling.
Isaiah 30:8 is a verse that sits in the middle of a passage where Judah is being condemned for its unholy alliance with Egypt. In verse 8, Isaiah is instructed to “write it on a tablet”, which includes all of the consequences Judah suffered for their acts of rebellion.
Dr. Gadson discusses how we too, can write it on the tablet, when we make poor choices. She discusses research that shows how writing about life’s difficulties can help us reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and rumination.
We can write it on a tablet when life’s difficulties cause us to make choices that were not sanctioned by God. And we can also see how God redeems us with His mercy and compassion.
