Today on the show, I am joined by Dr. Mark Foreman.
Dr. Foreman retired from a large city Police Department in 2007 as a lieutenant.
After retiring, Mark set about fulfilling his life's dream of being a Doctor of Psychology. He graduated from Alliant International University with a Doctor of Psychology in clinical forensic psychology. For six years, he worked as a Psychological Assistant, providing mental health services to regional first responders: cops, firefighters, medics, and their families. Mark embodies a trauma-informed system of care in his treatment modalities.
You've probably heard his name on this show before because he was the Dr. that helped Ben Vernon through his bout with severe PTSD after being stabbed on the job as a San Diego Firefighter.
Dr. Foreman was a blast to talk to, and I took away a lot from this conversation.
