For Christmas, I received only one gift, a book that my mother put beneath my pillow. The book taught me how to recognise my faults, master my pride and anger, be content, brave, and selfless. It also taught me that I am strong, that my tenacity is something to be admired, and that through hard, passionate work, I can achieve my goals. This book was Little Women.
