One thing all Full-Time Black Women have in common is our struggle to set healthy boundaries both personally and professionally. We are some of the most supportive, nurturing, and giving individuals.  With our caring and ongoing invested nature, we experience being taken advantage of by all those who surround us daily.  We have to teach ourselves how to set healthy boundaries in order to have healthy lives. What are boundaries? Personal boundaries are the limits and rules we set for ourselves within relationships. A person with healthy boundaries can say “no” to others when they want to, but they are also comfortable opening themselves up to intimacy and close relationships.  Drawing boundaries is the process of finding your courage. Holding boundaries is the process of keeping your courage.

Boundaries help us build and maintain relationships that are important for encouraging us to unlearn harmful patterns of thinking and mythologies around unhealthy power dynamics.

Today we will share how you too can learn how to set boundaries.
