To be educated, gainfully employed, and determined are all things adults aspire to have in their lives. However, when you are black, in most cases, not all, it can be a burden of a blessing. 

Latesha Byrd, Career Coach (@Latesha_Byrd) recently tweeted: 

“I feel this immense pressure to build generational wealth for my family, knowing that nothing has been passed down to me and I have to do it from scratch. What a burden. I’m excited and motivated - but there’s pressure nonetheless.”

Many of us have the same dream but we don’t necessarily know how to reach it. That’s why we wanted to dedicate today’s episode to the black millennial dream of building generational wealth. We don’t work just for food, shelter, cars, and clothes.  We also work to receive an income so we can build legacies, not liabilities for our present and future families.
