Community (re)building is a process that offers various roles for its participants: some do the foot soldiering, some have the knowledge and expertise to share, some mobilise and organise. Bisonabiso is a platform that mobilises the diaspora.
It was created by Liz, a Congolese woman based in NYC, to allow for networking, community building and to participate in the cultural exchange of the DRC's richness.
In this episode she tells us about the creation process of the platform, the Congolese Women's Forum and their current partnership with Elaka in an effort to improve maternity care in Congo.
