Rayna Neises, ACC, host, and Karen Weaver, PCC, co-host, reflect on last week’s interview with Maureen Kures. Maureen shared her experiences helping others prepare for the end of the journey. Additional thoughts:
- Discussing dying is uncomfortable, but gaining the understanding of what is needed can make it easier.
- Start end-of-life conversations now.
- Look at death as being a part of life vs. something separate.
- Make sure everyone is on the same page with the person’s wishes.
- Take time to prepare for the conversation including anticipating objections or pushback.
- Find the answers for yourself and your loved ones (parents and children).
