As you've seen, Season 3 is dedicated to my father, Mike Jacox, who passed away late in 2021. I Love and miss you, Dad.

Our next guest, Collin Williams, is a father, husband, and entrepreneur.  He is the Founder/Chairman of a venture-backed company called New Era ADR.  I was graciously introduced to Collin by a client & friend, Leslie Vickrey, who happens to be Collin's wife!  We also must send some love to Nathan Gerbe, who was mentioned during this episode and was a former guest on The Quarterback DadCast.

Collin was raised in the suburbs of Chicago in a city called Lake Forrest.  His parents moved their family to this area so that Collin and his brother would have access to better education, which paid off, given Collin is a lawyer and his brother is a doctor!    Collin shares excellent detail about the impact his parents had on him now as a father.  He shared a story about his mom, a stay-at-home mom who then decided to go back to school when they were older!  This story spoke to me as you've heard me share how my wife, Carrie, went back to work and loves her job!

What stands out to me about this episode is Collin's vulnerability, humility, and how he attacks the areas of his life he wants to get better at.  So inspiring!   He shares that we as dads must always have an open mind, evolve, listen to others, and seek help!  As you will hear, he shares a powerful story towards the end of this episode on a gap that he attacked to be the best version of himself.  Collin is someone who has found immense value in therapy, and he says it has changed his life for the better.
