Day 4: Why Me? Why This?
It is natural to ask why me and why this, especially when we are blindsided by the difficult circumstances in our lives. It is OK to ask these questions and to take these questions to God. It seems impossible to make sense of suffering and in particular of evil – suffering that is the result of something that someone else has done to us. Looking to Jesus and his own questioning of God in the Garden of Gethsemane, may we begin to shift our questions to how we can grow closer to God and how God wants us to use our suffering.
