Today Cardinal Sarah asks the question “How can we express in concrete words a “silent music?”
I immediately thought about Angels in heaven but not as a harp like Cardinal Sarah talks about but like church bells. A call to worship or during the Eucharist. The bells telling us it is time to wake up, still our hearts and quiet our minds because something important is happening or going to happen. Sometimes I need that wake-up call. Maybe I should buy myself a small bell and keep it on the table next to my prayer chair. Ring it when my mind begins to wonder during my Jesus time.
