Description

We continue to explore consciousness in some depth based on the book What is Consciousness?  which contains three essays by distinguished thinkers on the subject of consciousness: Jean Houston, Larry Dossey, and Ervin Laszlo. In this episode, which is the second of 3 parts, I focus on Larry Dossey's essay entitled "Consciousness is Eternal, Infinite, and One - A Summing Up", and I read a portion of the essay. Dossey is an internal medicine physician and is an internationally influential advocate for the role of mind in health and the role of spirituality in healthcare. He is the author of 13 books and is especially noted for the major contributions of such books as Healing Words, One Mind, and Reinventing Medicine. In 2013, Dossey received the prestigious Visionary Award that honors a pioneer whose visionary ideas have helped shaped integrative healthcare and the medical profession. This episode provides great insight into the advancing understanding of consciousness today.
