One of my biggest struggles as a grown ass man, is finding meaningful male friendships. I recently discovered that I am not alone in feeling this way. I also learned this is far too common among men and that we all genuinely crave connection. We often just mask it behind trying to be or become this "Mythical Man."
Am I a Man? What does that even mean? We often hear phrases like "Man Up", "Take It Like a Man", "Nut Up", among others. These phrases fall more in line with toxic masculinity and have a pre-qualification that in order to be a man, you have to act in a certain way.
