Episode 69: Paul Baccanello, Captain Boat Safety
This week we are joined by Paul Baccanello, one of the men behind Captain Boat Safety. This is a very smart business, which not only sells boat safety kits which cover all of your safety needs, but also sell a subscription package, where they will send out new gear as different items expire. We talk about the journey of where the idea came from and how it became a reality, some common safety mistakes, Paul’s own fishing experience and chat about where to next for the business.
Plus, we talk through all the big fishing news including:
· New channel markers at Victor Harbor
· New regulations for boating on the Murray during the floods.
· Pilchard kill at Semaphore.
· Some boat ramp issues on the Yorke Peninsula
We also talk about where the fish are biting, including Port Augusta Kingfish and when will the Tuna turn up locally! This week our tackle item is the new set of Apollo K2 Kevlar Dive Gloves that we just bought for Crayfish diving on KI next week.
