6 TIPS for Helping Youth Deal with Stress
Stress in youth is real. It can cause many issues. Often young people suffer in silence so it’s imperative that as adults we are proactive to get in front of situations. In this episode we provide you with tips and pointers on how to mitigate the stress and anxiety that our young people may be encountering. Most people don’t like change and young people are no different, many of them encounter stress when having to change or adapt. Try these strategies to help you and your child through this time of change.
Six KISS (keep it simply simple) TIPS for adults to help youth:
1. Be careful with the information your child digests.
2. Be cognizant with your body language. Your own anxiety and stress will show.
3. Hard schedule family time. Spend time having fun. Enjoy each day!
4. Encourage creative activities and experiences.
5. Take care mentally, socially and physically.
6. Keep your daily routines in tact as much as possible.
