S1E25 – You are the Afflatus for the Future
In this episode we discuss the need to inspire this generation as never before. We must be different because its important to the lives of those that we mold, challenge, and teach. We breathe life into our work. Afflatus means the act of blowing creatively like a poet or artist. In an article I recently read, it was reported that 1 out of 5 teachers will quit in 2020. We need educators, there is incredible energy in the inspiration that is given to those that we educate.
*This episode was created prior to the George Floyd murder. In no manner is the exercise of taking a breath to undermine the I Can’t Breathe movement. It is an example for us to see the necessity of breath in the institutions of education. Educators are the breath for students, they need us to inspire and be the afflatus for their purpose.
