Brought to you from the mountains of North Idaho is a country boy with southern roots. Acuff's blend of old school storytelling and powerful voice takes you to an unfamiliar place of honest country music. From high flying grassroots country to slow ballads that will pull at your heartstrings, there is no doubt that his music is meant for the people. Acuff released his freshman album “Life of a Rolling Stone” in early 2020 and is planning to release his sophomore album “If I were the Devil” in early 2021.
Since the last time Colby Acuff was on the show they canceled out the tour and most of their other live shows due to COVID. They played some online streamed gigs but they just weren't the same and once they lost their sparkle the people stopped tuning in. Colby and his band survived the summer playing shows all throughout the northwest but this winter has been tough for them. Their second album "If I were the Devil" will be dropping sometime mid-February 2021.
In today's episode Colby and I catch up and discuss those struggles of having to cancel all of their shows for 2020 and how he and his band had to pivot digitally to stay relevant.
