Episode 51 (Valtteri Filppula)
The boys this week had on another player from the Michigan State Spartans, Jake Smith. Jake is an East Amherst or Buffalo, New York native. Jakes father is the current Head of Strength and Conditioning for the NHL. Jake is also the nephew of Barry Smith longtime NHL Coach. Barry Smith won three Stanley cups with Detroit. Jake comes from a huge hockey family and attributes his success to his parents. Jake played a few seasons in the BCHL in Canada. He lived near Vancouver for a few seasons while he played with the Chilliwack Chiefs. During his time with the Chilliwack Chiefs he averaged almost a point per game. He is moving into his fourth season with the Spartans. We look forward to watching Jake beat the Wolverines and Tyler's favorite team the Fighting Irish this season.
