My guest today is James Azam from Ghana, who is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. In this episode, we learn that he wanted to be work in the military as he grew up he realized that science had a diverse career choice. He went on to be a national Ghanaian science and maths TV show that influenced him to love the science field even more. He is currently pursuing his PhD in mathematics, specializing in epidemiological modeling to evaluate mitigation strategies for measles outbreaks. We hear about this research & how he got into this specialized field.
