We are going to Luke 6 today, to finish up the Sermon on the Plain. It’s a sermon Jesus preached with some of the same content as the Sermon on the Mount, but with a distinct audience, distinct emphasis, and it was preached in a different place.
And it is a huge blessing of God that He allowed the words of Jesus to be recorded for us in scripture. This is one of the biggest things that feeds our faith - hearing the words of Jesus. Romans 10:17 says “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”
