Similar to the beginning of chapter nine, Jesus sends out seventy two disciples on a mission to various cities and villages to preach the good news of the kingdom. He offers them instructions and warnings for their work as His ambassadors. The disciples return with joy, and possibly a hint of pride, to which Jesus responds with some much needed perspective. We find instructions here on our similar role as Christ’s ambassadors in the world.
