God wants to be involved in our lives even to the smallest detail! In this lesson, I introduce you to two of my horse- Rainface and Moses. Both of these horses were an answer to prayer for me. They are the manifestation of the desires of my heart. To receive them, I stood on Isaiah 45:3 and Psalm 37:4. These two phenomenal verses show us that God will give us the desires of our hearts, and He will give us things that are treasures and riches that were formerly hidden to us. There are two caveats though. The first is that we have to delight ourselves in the Lord. This is not a legalistic approach- it is a safe and righteous one. Let me give you an example… I once met a girl in the jail who I was ministering to and she told me that God had given her the desire of her heart because she was able to sneak drugs in and not be caught!!! I promptly corrected her of course but this is a really clear example of how if we are not delighting ourselves in the Lord, we might get our desire but it’s not God who answers that and thus the result is death! When we delight ourselves in the Lord, we give Him the opportunity to speak into our lives, to influence our thoughts and choices and to bring about righteous desires that He wants to fulfill. There is nothing in your life that God doesn’t want to be involved in but He is such a gentleman that He will stay at a distance unless you ask Him by drawing close to Him and delighting yourself in Him.
