In Psalm 32:9, God instructs us not to be like a horse or a donkey who needs a bit to even come near us. If you know horses, you know that most horses {and donkeys} have to have a bit in their mouths so that we can direct them. What God is saying here is that He wants us to be so “broke” to Him that we don’t just come close to Him when we are pressured to do so by pain, discomfort, stress, etc. He wants us to be a team. He wants to be so close to us that we move at the slightest pressure from His Spirit. In this lesson, I show two horses that I ride. One of them I am using a bit and bridle and the other I am not. You can see clearly that the one who has the bit in his mouth is harder to get along with. Daisy- the horse I ride with no hands is much easier to get things done on and to enjoy my time with. This is exactly how God wants our relationship with Him to be – so here’s my advice- Don’t be an ass!!! Cooperate with the Holy Spirit!
Thanks for tuning in.
