Christ visits the people in the ancient Americas. He gives authority to 12 disciples to baptize. He teaches them the order of baptism. He gives sermons to them similar to what is recorded in the New Testament, Mathew chapters 6 - 8. He gives them the "Be-attitudes". He commands them to be perfect. He teaches them to be a light unto others, the salt of the earth, a city on a hill that they may glorify our Father in Heaven. He teaches them to do good to others, not to be seen and lifted up by the world, but to set an example so that others will do the same.
Can we be perfect in this life? Is it a commandment that can be achieved? How do we reconcile ourselves to be perfect when we can't? Christ did not include himself in being perfect until after he had completed his mission. The same is for us. Perfection will not come in our mortal lives, but we can keep strivin'.
Christ explains that we must go and visit the lost tribes of Isreal.
Thanks for listening! Keep on Strivin'!
