During World War 2 Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a pastor and teacher of the Bible. He was also a double agent working for the Allies and was involved in the plot to kill Adolf Hitler. He smuggled people out of Nazi-occupied Europe facing the threat of exposure to the Nazi's every day. There was no one more qualified to write the book, The Cost of Discipleship, which is his legacy to all of us today.
