Pastor Jon wrapped up this three week series on the three gifts given to Jesus at His arrival. These gifts were for Jesus but also from Him, prophetically speaking to who He came to be.
The last gift mentioned is myrrh, used in as the primary ingredient in the anointing oil. The Messiah (Hebrew word for Anointed One) was prophesied in the Old Testament, and Jesus Christ (Greek word for Anointed One) showed up on the scene over 2,000 years ago. Jesus came into our world, into our mess as the Messiah.
