Inside the heart of every person is a desire for more. If left unchecked this can quickly turn to greed. In fact, greed is not a rich people problem it's a sinful people problem. Jesus addressed greed multiple times in His ministry on earth. Pastor Jon unpacked two teachings from Luke 12 and Matthew 19.
Greed has many faces and sometimes it can show itself different ways like...
1. Scarcity - What I don't have drives my greed.
2. Status - How I look drives my greed.
3. Selfishness - Having more drives my greed.
The way we break the hold of greed in our life and heart is through generosity and gratitude. Giving freely what we would rather hold, spend or acquire and recognizing it all comes from God!
