Description

Cali High is honored and blessed to present its first musical guest this week, Richard Daley, founding member and bass player of the legendary reggae band, Third World. Daley discusses working with Damian Marley as producer of their latest album, More Work to be Done. We also talk about the Smile Jamaica concert, held days after Bob Marley was shot in National Heroes Park, Kingston, Jamaica, December 5th, 1976, where Bob’s band went into hiding and Third World filled in as his band that night. Daley also talks about his early musical influences, the loss of lead singer Bunny Rugs and the current band’s lineup.

This episode is dedicated to the memory of Chris Nicoletti, my brother, who turned me on to reggae, and Kenny Miller my good friend who turned many people on to Third World.
