We're kicking this thing off talking with Dr. Carmen Harris– a pastor's wife and mom of 4 who has worked as a school administrator for the past 22 years. Throughout her career, she has intentionally sought out environments that have allowed her to advocate for those students unable to advocate for themselves. She's a lover of Jesus, her family, education, and wait for it...Lifetime movies! She's pretty sure she's seen every one of them, twice.
In this episode, we talk about what empowerment means for us and the next generation, owning our freedom, and being role models versus “role-talkers.”
