Description

In this episode we connect journeys of personal, family, racial, and community healing, with systems or oppression that constrain us and our communities, and what we can do next. Our guest, Dr. Fatama Hafiz, is an consultant, an educator, master facilitator, and community activist, with a wealth of experience in community healing and anti-violence work. We navigate the differences between conversations about community conflict and journeys of community healing. We explore definitions of healing and community healing and how healing journeys impact changes of direction in our personal lives, our partnerships, our families and our communities. Dr. Hafiz shares the anti-violence work she did in Chester, PA. We highlight some community healing methods and places to continue our own learning journey.

Fatama’s famous quote: “I’m a recovering academic.”
