This week's theme for the podcast is: How To Do It
This week I want to talk about various ways you can better your life by going over a few How To’s for personal development.
I hope these topics inspire you to keep pushing for your best self, to put yourself first & to understand that we are all a work in progress & you don't always have to have it together.
Here are some notes from today's episode:
- Self-confidence is something I struggle with on the regular because I freak myself out believing more people care about what I’m doing that they actually do.
- And honestly I know I’m not alone in that feeling & reaction, which is why we are going to chat about self-confidence & how to work on being more confident today.
- Self-confidence is the trust you have in yourself & your abilities, capacities and belief that you are able to get through everyday challenges & struggles.
- And one of the best things that comes from increased self-confidence is happiness. When you feel good about your capabilities & successes, you’re more energized & excited & motivated to try new things & go after your goals.
- One of the biggest things that can prevent self-confidence is imposter syndrome. Continuing to have the belief that your accomplishments account for nothing & that you’ll be labeled as a fraud will for sure keep you from trusting who you are if you don’t turn it around in your mind.
- Which is why you need to continually remind yourself of your successes, rather than your failures. I will elaborate on this in my list of tips.
- Here are the tips I have for you on how to better your self confidence:
- 1. Change Your Beliefs About Yourself
- 2. Review Your Previous Wins
- 3. Stretch Your Comfort Zone
- 4. Know Your Values & Beliefs (values are at the core of who you are & by knowing those you can make decisions based on those values that leaves little room for doubt because it’s a part of who you are).
- 5. Let Go of Control (by holding onto control, we can be let down & let our expectations get too high, causing disappointment & low confidence. By letting go, we focus more of gratitude & taking things as they come, which can build confidence without expectations blinding you & holding you back.)
