Hello Everyone & Welcome Back to the RealPositiveGirl Podcast!
Thank you so much for joining me again!
Happy Monday!
This week's theme for the podcast is: How to Have the Best Week Ever!
I think it’s always helpful to have some tips on how to have a great week or at least set it up with the best intentions.
I do want to make mention that by no means will these tips or any tips you get from anyone give you a perfect week or the best week ever FOR SURE because of life's uncertainties.
However, you CAN do your best to set yourself up for the best possible week ever & have the positive mindset that it will turn out as best it can.
Here are some notes from today's episode:.
- Relationships cannot thrive on their own, they need love & care like many other things in our lives. Taking the time to work on all the relationships in your life, even ones that are doing just fine, is integral to how long those will last, how beneficial these will be & what kind of impact these will make on your everyday life.
- Relationships do not get better on their own. You have to put in the effort, time & work to maintain them or find yourself in some hurt and/or loneliness.
- Let’s start with actually making time for your relationships. You have to make time to put in the time. Make sure you are calling your friends to check-in, hang out or make plans for the future.
- Even if you only put in 30 minutes per day, broken up into even smaller segments throughout the day, it still counts as putting in the time. And, you may not even realize how big a difference that makes to those people you are making the time for. This also lets those in your life know they are a priority.
- Going along with this, it’s important to keep communication a priority, as well. All good relationships starts with communication. It’s important to know when you need to talk something out & when you need to listen. This also means that when you have problems, issues or disagreements, you need to make the effort to talk it out & not run away from the tension.
- The willingness to work through difficulties & disagreements is worth the discomfort of differing opinions & ideas, because it means you are making your relationships stronger in the end. And remember forgiveness is always the best choice for everyone.
- In addition to this, when you do take the time to resolve problems or discover information about the other person, don’t jump to conclusions. It’s much better & more mature to go to someone, ask questions, non-accusingly, & figure it out together.
- It’s also important to remember to follow through with your commitments & promises that you make to our friends, family & really anyone else. Another way to think about this is to underpromise & overdeliver.
- And remember that everyone wants to be appreciated. You don’t have to be the bestest ever or super perfect about it, but just show your appreciation as much as you’re able.
- Lastly, do not take your relationships for granted. And don’t treat your relationships like something you only take from & give, too. You need to make sure you are giving back more than you are taking.
Please share this podcast with anyone that may need this encouragement!
Thank you again for listening & I hope this
