This week's theme for the podcast is: Regain Self Worth
This week we are going to speak heavily on the importance of self-worth, what breaks it down & what builds it up & how it benefits our everyday lives.

Here are some notes from today's episode:
- As mentioned before, self-worth comes from deep within yourself & how you feel & think about yourself, which means that those thoughts & beliefs are deep-seeded & created as you have grown-up & experienced life. And this also means that any work that you have to do to boost it backup will take more work than just working on your self-esteem or general confidence. You might have to dig deep.
- Now, because of what I just said, it’s important to note that just practicing positive thinking or pretending to be ok & disregard how you are truly feeling & hoping it magically goes away will not work. You can solve many things with a positive mindset, but this is not one of those.
- I would suggest starting with understanding more about yourself. Knowing who you are & what you want will help you identify & increase your self-worth. Develop a deeper self-understanding by asking yourself questions like: Who am I? Who am I not? What would happen if I lost everything? What defines who I am? What do I struggle with? How can I improve myself?
- Next, I would encourage you to forgive yourself of anything that you have been holding onto & holding against yourself. Everyone deserves forgiveness, even yourself. This also feeds into practicing self-compassion & understanding that everyone makes mistakes, no one is perfect & accepting yourself as you are is the best course of action.
- I know I always talk about personal boundaries. Establish personal boundaries because that will allow you to set your own personal restrictions & boundaries that work best for you & allow you to live your life the best you can. Personal boundaries also allow you to not feel responsible for other people & to remove or opt out of situations that just aren’t your jam.
- As mentioned on Monday, practicing self-love will help you care for yourself more & be more accepting of yourself & continually happy with who you are & are becoming. Self-love will also reinforce knowing that you are valued, special & worthy.
- And lastly, practicing gratitude & seeking professional help can help more than you probably think. I know that sometimes there is a fear to seeking counseling or something in that realm of help, but know that it’s totally normal & actually very mature & smart to seek out help from someone that has spent a good portion of their life studying a subject you are struggling with.
- I also want to end this episode by telling you some clues of when you’re self-worth is returning to normal or the level it should be at: You know that you are in control of what you think about yourself, despite what someone may say about you; you no longer feel the need to please others; your values come from inside you, not from external factors or experiences; and you are able to accept your weaknesses while still focusing on your strengths.
