Anders Aplin is not just your average professional footballer plying his trade in the Singapore Professional League. He is also armed with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and was a trained Commando and Ranger in the army.
Anders, hailing from a family with a sports background, reveals why he fell off the footballing radar after being part of the pioneer batch of footballers who graduated from the Singapore Sports School and then the NFA 18 squad. This is the story of the man who almost gave up on his childhood dreams of being a pro footballer and despite being out of the game for sometime, with hard work and dedication, got a National Team Call up at 26 years of age and then clinching a loan deal with a J2 League side Matsumoto Yamaga.
Emotions are raw as Anders recollects the darkest days of his life in 2020. He tells me what happened and how he overcame that battle.
Don't miss it!
