So much of our unhappiness comes from our hurt from the people around us.  We want them to be different, we want them to stop pushing our buttons, we want them to act and behave in a way that will be more comfortable for us. In Soul Recovery we talk a lot about letting go of control of others- not always so easy to do. What we can control is ourselves, our responses, or attitudes, our behaviors.  When we take our power back by keeping the focus on ourselves  and begin to ask and discover why we are feeling the emotional pain- we can stop drowning in that suffering and begin to live again- even when the outside world is not as we wish it would be.
