Description

This year on the podcast, host Steven Crawford is going to be giving you a monthly to-do list to become a more successful and efficient whitetail hunter this upcoming fall. On episode 41, host Steven Crawford breaks down what you should be doing in April to increase your odds of notching your tag on a magnum whitetail this fall. Topics discussed include: Steven's Tennessee turkey hunt, reaping turkeys, and much more from the weekend in Tennessee. Also covered is your April to-do list:
1. The real spring thrill: Chase Gobblers and fill your turkey tag.
2. Continue to look for bedding, doe bedding and buck bedding, so you can start to strategically put the pieces of the puzzle together to notch your tag this fall.
3. WEAR ORANGE while scouting so a turkey hunter doesn't mistake you for a gobbler in the brush.
4. Look for annual patterns and repeating sign. If you find fresh buck sign, look for historical buck sign as well.
5. Prep your trees for stands before the foliage is up.
6. Stay away from the masses when looking for big buck tracks. He's alive for a reason-he's not following the crowd.
