We need to remember the Lord our God, for it is He that gives us the power to get wealth that He might establish His covenant with us. Memory confirms our faith, increases our knowledge of ourselves, and strengthens our confidence in God. Forgetfulness is a sign of carelessness, unbelief, and ingratitude. In memory, we find our past and present. Remembering humbles us, proves us, and then teaches us the insufficiency of things to make us happy. Memory also quickens the heart and fuels gratitude.
