Accept your circumstances for what they are
- Too many people spend their whole lives wishing their circumstances were different. This is a complete waste of time.
- Accept your circumstances for what they are and then make a plan to change the things you can change.
- Things you can change: location, employment, spouse, friends, attitude, outlook on life, gratitude, humility
- Things you can’t change: body type, body injuries or handicaps, family, politics, national and international relations
- Tactical application of this principle: wishing something was different in a fight will get you killed. You must have the attitude of acceptance and then adapting and overcoming whatever you must be accomplish the mission.
