Carly Clarke, Head Coach of the TMU Bold Womens Basketball team and Assistant Coach for the SWNT for Canada Basketball, pulls up on Canada Hoops! Carly joins your boy Matty to share her basketball story and career thus far. Carly talks about coaching with the SWNT for Canada Basketball at the recent FIBA Womens World Cup along side Head Coach Victor Lapena; helping guide the squad to a 4th place finish. Carly tells Matty about leading the U23 Globl Jam team for Canada Basketball to a gold medal this past summer after leading her TMU Bold Womens Team to the USPORTS National Championship.
Carly tells us how her love for basketball started for her growing up in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia; her early connection to former SWNT Head Coach Lisa Thomaidis going back to the 2001 Canada Summer games and Carly's CIS career at Bishops University.
Carly talks about how her coaching career got started, her coaching influences and her ever growing connections to the players all throughout the Womens Program for Canada Basketball. If a player has played for the SWNT in the past 8 years you can bet Carly has coached and mentored them along the way. Carlys' impact on the Womens Program for Canada Basketball can truly be felt everywhere. And Carly drops a one of a kind Top 5 of all time for Canada Basketball. Much love to Carly Clarke for joining us on Canada Hoops!
