We continue our conversation about how to love even when it's hard. In addition, our guest host also answers some honest questions about how the Church can help support and love both foster families and foster kids better.
We want to say that all foster parents, no matter their faith, deserve support from the church. We need to love them as they love the "orphan". There are many, many lovely, hard working, devoted people who foster kids and we want them to know we love them and the work they are doing in the life of a child.
Please find a way to reach out to foster families in your area and love them as Christ called us to do. And, if possible, start a foster support group in your church for any and all foster families in your area. Walk with these folks... these children and these parent need us to fight for the heart and souls of these kids.
