*Great word last week…Life, liberty, and the pursuit of love…
*There is nothing that will cause you to love God more than being awakened to how much
He loves you...
*As 2020 comes to an end, I reflect—there’s been heartbreak, many tears, and uncertainties.
*While I can’t tell you what’s coming next, I can assure you that we can still be overcomers
regardless of what happens. We can face the obstacles, and we can win. God can do
something in us that supersedes everything happening in the world around us and in our
own lives.
*Every promise God has ever made is still true for you personally. The curse may surround
us…but we can turn the curse into a blessing and live like an overcomer!
*The spirit of Balaam shall not prevail…In Numbers 22:12, God said to Balaam,”...thou
shalt not...curse the people: for they are blessed.” Balaam was hired to curse Israel but every
time he opened his mouth he blessed them-3 times…
* How much more are the people of God blessed under the New Covenant!
* I pray for a reset, new beginnings, the courage to take risks, and new testimonies. I
declare 2021 a year of healing and spiritual awakening… In Jesus name.
*Don’t let 2020 addict you to negativity… Don’t let heaviness suffocate you…and stop
getting pulled into paths you aren’t called too…
*God reminded me this week to focus on who we are called to be…and not get pulled in a
hundred different directions…
*I love Barnabus… Barnabas, who was named Joseph, had a name change to Barnabas, which
means, “son of encouragement”
* Acts 11:22-26 “Then news of these things came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem,
and they sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch. When he came and had seen the grace
of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should
continue with the Lord. For he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a
great many people were added to the Lord. Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus to seek
Saul. And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole
year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples
were first called Christians in Antioch.”
*He introduced Saul to the believers in Jerusalem and vouched for him after his conversion…
Acts 9:26-31
*Barnabas had a reputation of coming along side of discouraged people (we need more of these
in the church today…)
*Barnabas was the restorer of those who failed, like John Mark; he wouldn’t leave him behind.
John Mark is the author of the Gospel of Mark. He is the companion of Paul-Barnabus on
minssions trip – (Acts 13:5) and left Paul discouraged in Acts 13:13. Paul refused to take him on
the next trip and Barnabas stood for John Mark. Later he was restored to Paul (Acts 13:58).
*Just because the calendar turns a page doesn’t mean magical pixie dust is released and all our
troubles go away…
