The Atmosphere of our Lives
Sunday October 14, 2018
The personal presence of God is not merely some “force” or “influence” that we seek, but a personal, real, life-changing presence of a living God who abides in us and dwells among us….
As a church…We must have a passion to lead people into that presence. We must have a passion for His presence and believe it is important for each individual to experience the presence of God in their personal life as well as in our corporate gathering and to carry His presence into our homes, neighborhoods, businesses and jobs.
The reward of worship is God’s enthroned presence.
Attacks and negative seasons can cause us to live life under a cloud of doom and gloom.
We have to consciously choose to set the atmosphere of our lives…
“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalms 16:11
“The Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18
2 Chronicles 20:1-3… “It happened after this that the people of Moab with the people of Ammon, and others with them besides the Ammonites,[a] came to battle against Jehoshaphat. 2 Then some came and told Jehoshaphat, saying, “A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from [b]Syria; and they are in Hazazon Tamar” (which is En Gedi). 3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set [c]himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.”
Seek…
daw-rash’ - A primitive root; properly to tread or frequent; usually to follow (for pursuit or search); by implication to seek or ask; specifically to worship:
What if our first reaction to every attack was to worship and seek God? To intentionally set the atmosphere of our lives with praise…
12… “…For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You. Now all Judah, with their little ones, their wives, and their children, stood before the Lord.
Let praise…not fear determine the atmosphere.
Judah leads…
