#015 The Responsibilities of a Special Educator-Part 3
This is the final part of a 3 part series on the responsibilities of special education teachers. We have discussed our responsibilities to our students in Episode 13 and our responsibilities to our school in Episode 14.
In today's episode, we take a look at our responsibilities to our administration. This could be your principal(s), special education director or whomever it is that you report to on a daily basis.
In order to have a successful career, be admired by your administration for your hard work and dedication and to develop a strong working relationship with your superiors, I have identified the top 3 responsibilities we have to our administration...
1. Do your job
2. Do your part
3. Stay in your lane
When you can achieve these 3 things, when you fulfill these 3 responsibilities, I have no doubt that your relationship with your administrator will become stronger and a good relationship with your boss doesn’t just help the overall good vibes you have while at work, it can help down the road as well.
They’ll think of you. When an opportunity comes up that you might want (or even one you didn’t know about), Your principal will know you and trust that you are the best choice for that opportunity.
