In this episode, Pastoral Care Minister Shane Gage interviews Nick Fouts of Cedar Rock Ministries. Nick has a long history with our church as he was, along with Shane, one of the original members of the Ankole Mission Team in Uganda. Now, through Cedar Rock, Nick and his wife Renee provide retreats, counseling and spiritual direction to individuals, couples, and groups. Their mission is to help people find rest and renewal for their lives and relationships. Shane and Nick talk about resting in Christ and how to live FROM rest rather than living FOR rest. Specific topics include: The difference between isolation versus solitude, avoiding “crowded loneliness” and “hurry sickness", and paying attention to the pace and rhythm of our life.
