Thanksgiving kicks off the holiday season, which brings much hustle and bustle and unrealistic expectations. Don't ramp things up; scale things down. In this week's Coffee With Carrie episode, Carrie shares how to use your Thanksgiving traditions and prep work as well as your family devotions and read aloud time as your homeschooling "lessons" for the week. Carrie gives lots of practical suggestions on how to take a break from your formal lessons the week of Thanksgiving and gives lots of meaningful activities you can do each day instead. It is possible to do much Bible, reading, writing, math, science, history, art, and music without cracking open one textbook or workbook the week of Thanksgiving. Spend the week of Thanksgiving focusing on God's faithfulness while creating family memories. Pour yourself a cup of pumpkin spice latte, put your feet up while you can, and take a little coffee break with Carrie.
