Hey everyone, I hope this finds you well and adjusting to life during this difficult time.
I am dedicating this episode of the Travelling Optimist Podcast with Steve Ody to my travel industry colleagues and all business owners. My heart goes out to each and everyone of you and as each day brings something new to the table I hope that there are some nuggets of info that might help you get through this period of uncertainty. I don’t have all the answers, I wish I did, I think there’s still a lot of people out there facing a time of serious hardship but I want you to know that you’re not alone, don’t feel stranded. I am joined in this episode by someone with what must be the coolest sounding surname in the world, Nic Morreale-Devereaux. Nic is the co-owner and director of Base Practice Support which he set up just over 3 years ago.
Nic has led a hugely successful entrepreneurial career and has unbelievable amounts of knowledge and experience in a number of arenas, the retail and catering industry, the property business and selling property worldwide but also has vast experience in structuring finance deals and property portfolio strategies, he’s worked as a business consultant is sales and marketing before he spotted an opportunity to ‘make a dent in the world of accountancy’.
Base Practice Support is an accountancy outsourcing service business. They provide solutions to accountancy practice owners that mean they can concentrate on growing their business
He is a great supporter of a local charity near to where he lives called CHUMS, it supports children with learning difficulties and mental health issues. And I know this is a charity that is close to his heart.
Nic’s phrase that has helped him throughout his life is ‘its not what happens to you, it’s how you deal with it. We all face, have faced in our lives some tough times – but these are often unavoidable so I believe we have to take what life throws at us on the chin and always look up, that’s how we bounce back stronger.’
