This week’s guest on the Financial Planner Life podcast is Kris Amliwala from Designer Wealth Management.
Kris fell into the profession; he graduated university with a pharmaceuticals and cosmetic science degree with no interest in moving into financial services.
However, his family have owned a financial advice practice for over 30 years and, when an employee was unfortunately, ‘let go’, they asked Kris to help until they found a replacement.
Fast forward 10 years and Kris is still there!
(Some excellent recruitment from the folks!)
Kris talks to me about:
• His route to becoming chartered and why he highly rates the Kinder institute of life planning.
• Why he became an education champion for the personal finance society.
• How to position yourself as a younger financial planner.
• Why getting stuck into your financial qualifications straight out of university is a great
strategy.
• Why Next Gen Financial Planners is a great financial planning community.
