Leadership is everywhere and, quite frankly, unavoidable
But here’s the key: We can’t lead well under any circumstances unless we are first followers of the Ultimate Leader—Jesus Christ.
Today’s sermon is titled “I’m a freed but shackled slave.” And yes, I am talking about myself because I had to grow up spiritually to walk in all the aspects of leadership God has put in my path.
I know it sounds contradictory, but how can you be both free and shackled at the same time? It sounds like trying to stay on a diet while working in a bakery! But bear with me because this is one of the most beautiful paradoxes in the Christian life.
In Romans 6:22, Paul says, “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.”
