It was great to hear from Andy Tucker who dropped us an email and said he would like to come on the pod and when we found out he was a Guinness world record holder, we couldn't wait to hear what record he had broken.

Andy didn't have any sporting background as a kid, but like many kids, spent most of his time playing football and riding his bike. As a young father he realised that he needed to get fitter to be around for his son and so a seed was planted.

Andy says "I started in 2012 with my first Triathlon, and am currently training for the Ironman Nice world champs.
I have taken a few AG wins, been to the 70.3 world champs and am racing my first GBR age group race at the European Champs in Menen on the Aquabike discipline and hoping for a good result! I am also a double Guinness world record holder for 3-legged running over 12 and 24 hours! "

Andy's partner Teresa is also a GB Agegroup athlete and it was while he was supporting her he decided that he would like to earn the blue suit, as he called it. So that's what he did.

Hope you enjoy Andy's journey as much as wee did.
