That's what the Tanach (the Bible) says, it's what the sages tell us, and it's what we've seen with our own eyes in our lifetime But the wrong words don't just kill people; they can also kill ideas whose time has come. The idea behind "Defund the Police" is such an idea and deserves support. It won't get all the support it will need to succeed because of one word: Defund. It sends the wrong message—and one that is unintended by most of its supporters.
